Day 1
Fly Mumbai → Dehradun. Drive to Sankri (2,000m). Overnight at guesthouse

Acclimatization and trek gear orientation. Short acclimatization hike

Sankri → Juda Ka Talab (2,700m). 4 hr trek through oak and rhododendron forest
Day 4
Juda Ka Talab → Kedarkantha Base (3,200m). 3 hr trek. Stunning base camp
Day 5
Summit Day — Kedarkantha (3,800m). 3-4 hr ascent. 360° panoramic summit. Descend to Hargaon
Day 6
Hargaon → Sankri. Drive to Dehradun. Fly Mumbai

Is this good for a first Himalayan trek?

Kedarkantha is the gold standard beginner Himalayan trek — manageable altitude, clear trails, well-established route, and a guaranteed snow experience in winter.

Do I need prior trekking experience?

Prior trekking experience is recommended (at least 3–4 Sahyadri treks) but not mandatory. Good cardiovascular fitness is more important.

What is the altitude like?

The summit is at 3,800m. Altitude sickness is possible but rare on this trek. We follow a careful acclimatization schedule.

Best month for snow?

December through March for guaranteed snow. January–February for the most dramatic snow conditions.
